I have completed masters in botany from Govt. Post Graduate Jehanzeb College Swat (affiliated with University of Peshawar) with distinction (Goldmedal). After completing masters, I won HEC indigenous scholarship and took admission in PhD in University of the Punjab Lahore. During my PhD, I visited Würzburg University Germany for 6 months to carry out research work under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Roitch. After completing PhD, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor in Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. On October 12, 2017, I was promoted as Associate Professor and later in October 2021 I was awarded the status of Professor. I have worked as Postdoc fellow in the Department of Cell and System Biology in the University of Toronto, Canada. Seven PhD and more than 30 MPhil students have been graduated under my supervision so far. Several MPhil and PhD students are working under my supervision at present. I have published more than 100 research articles in reputed international journals including Plant Cell, Chemosphere, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, Frontiers in Plant Science and BMC Microbiology. I work in the field of Plant Microbe interactions with especial focus on the role of endophytic fungi to promote growth of different crop plants under various environmental stresses. I am young country ambassador of international society of Microbial Ecology.
